In Hebrew, when we talk about the spice, we say black pepper or white pepper (פִּלְפֵּל שָׁחוֹר / פִּלְפֵּל לָבָן), because red, green, or yellow pepper (פִּלְפֵּל אָדוֹם, יָרוֹק, צָהוֹב) is not a spice—it's a vegetable.

Coarse black pepper, which comes in two types: fine-coarse (small pepper granules, but not powder)
