To mourn
Within this verb, we can see the word "mourning" (אבל). Mourning is a state in which we feel sadness over something that has happened. People tend to mourn someone who has passed away.
בְּתוֹךְ שֵׁם הַפֹּעַל הַזֶּה אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לִרְאוֹת אֶת הַמִּילָּה אֶבֶל. אֶבֶל הוּא מַצָּב שֶׁבּוֹ עָצוּב לָנוּ עַל מַשֶּׁהוּ שֶׁקָּרָה.
אֲנָשִׁים נוֹהֲגִים לְהִתְאַבֵּל עַל מִישֶׁהוּ שֶׁנִּפְטַר.
Some people also mourn something they have lost.
יֵשׁ כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁנּוֹהֲגִים לְהִתְאַבֵּל עַל מַשֶּׁהוּ שֶׁהֵם הִפְסִידוּ.
Everyone mourns in different ways: Some cry, some prefer not to see anyone, and some feel that they cannot continue living after their loss and cannot stop mourning.
כָּל אֶחָד נוֹהֵג לְהִתְאַבֵּל בְּצוּרָה שׁוֹנָה: יֵשׁ כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁבּוֹכִים, יֵשׁ כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁלֹּא רוֹצִים לִרְאוֹת אַף אֶחָד וְיֵשׁ כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁמַּרְגִּישִׁים שֶׁהֵם לֹא יְכוֹלִים לְהַמְשִׁיךְ לִחְיוֹת אַחֲרֵי הָאוֹבְדָן וְלֹא מַצְלִיחִים לְהַפְסִיק לְהִתְאַבֵּל.
For anyone who feels the need to mourn, we must say that it is okay to mourn, but there also has to come a time when one must stop mourning and continue their life.
לְכָל מִי שֶׁמַּרְגִּישׁ צוֹרֶךְ לְהִתְאַבֵּל אֲנַחְנוּ צְרִיכִים לְהַגִּיד שֶׁזֶּה בְּסֵדֶר לְהִתְאַבֵּל, אֲבָל צָרִיךְ גַּם לְהַגִּיעַ זְמַן שֶׁבּוֹ צָרִיךְ לְהַפְסִיק לְהִתְאַבֵּל וּלְהַמְשִׁיךְ בַּחַיִּים.

1. At the memorial ceremony, all participants dedicated a moment of silence to mourn the people who are no longer with us.
