הַמַּלְבִּין פְּנֵי חֲבֵרוֹ בָּרַבִּים כְּאִילּוּ שָׁפַךְ דָּמִים

He who shame his friend in public - as if he shed blood
מַלְבִּין = Makes something white
שׁוֹפֵךְ דָּמִים = Kills
מַלְבִּין = הוֹפֵךְ לְצֶבַע לָבָן.
שׁוֹפֵךְ דָּמִים = הוֹרֵג.
This expression wants to teach us that someone who insults someone else is considered as if they killed them.
הַבִּיטּוּי הַזֶּה רוֹצֶה לְלַמֵּד אוֹתָנוּ שֶׁמִּישֶׁהוּ שֶׁמַּעֲלִיב מִישֶׁהוּ אַחֵר זֶה נֶחֱשָׁב כְּאִילּוּ הוּא הָרַג אוֹתוֹ.
Sometimes when someone is insulted, their face turns white, meaning their blood disappears from the facial area. This is where the idea of "shed blood" comes from.
לִפְעָמִים כְּשֶׁמִּישֶׁהוּ נֶעֱלָב, הַפָּנִים שֶׁלּוֹ הוֹפְכוֹת לִלְבָנוֹת, כְּלוֹמַר הַדָּם שֶׁלּוֹ נֶעֱלַם מֵאֵזוֹר הַפָּנִים. מִכָּאן בָּא הָרַעֲיוֹן שֶׁל "שׁוֹפֵךְ דָּמִים".
