Turn the lemon to a lemonade
For me, this expression is the central motif in life.
עֲבוּרִי הַבִּיטּוּי הַזֶּה הוּא הַמּוֹטִיב הַמֶּרְכָּזִי בַּחַיִּים.
Lemons are sour and lemonade is sweet. So this expression want to teach us that the trick is to turn something sour into something sweet.
הַלִּימוֹן הוּא חָמוּץ וְהַלִּימוֹנָדָה מְתוּקָה. אָז הַבִּיטּוּי הַזֶּה רוֹצֶה לְלַמֵּד אוֹתָנוּ שֶׁהַחָכְמָה הִיא לַהֲפוֹךְ מַשֶּׁהוּ חָמוּץ לְמַשֶּׁהוּ מָתוֹק.
Sometimes we have problems in life, not everything goes smoothly.... Those who know how to turn lemons into lemonade will enjoy a better and happier life.
לִפְעָמִים יֵשׁ לָנוּ בְּעָיוֹת בַּחַיִּים, לֹא הַכֹּל הוֹלֵךְ חָלָק....מִי שֶׁיּוֹדֵעַ לַהֲפֹךְ אֶת הַלִּימוֹן לְלִימוֹנָדָה יֵהָנֶה מֵחַיִּים טוֹבִים וּמְאוּשָּׁרִים יוֹתֵר.
During the Corona period, many businesses could not work, but we have many excellent examples of people who turned this lemon into lemonade. Those who could and managed to move their business to Zoom continued to work and were not financially affected like many others.
בִּתְקוּפַת הַקּוֹרוֹנָה הַרְבֵּה מְאוֹד עֲסָקִים לֹא הָיוּ יְכוֹלִים לַעֲבוֹד, אֲבָל יֵשׁ לָנוּ הַרְבֵּה דּוּגְמָאוֹת מְצוּיָּנוֹת לַאֲנָשִׁים שֶׁעָשׂוּ מֵהַלִּימוֹן הַזֶּה לִימוֹנָדָה. מִי שֶׁיָּכוֹל הָיָה וְהִצְלִיחַ לְהַעֲבִיר אֶת הָעֵסֶק שֶׁלּוֹ לְזוּם הִמְשִׁיךְ לַעֲבוֹד וְלֹא נִפְגַּע מִבְּחִינָה כַּלְכָּלִית כְּמוֹ אֲחֵרִים.
