Air conditioner
The root of the Hebrew word mazgan (air conditioner) is מ.ז.ג. The infinitive is lemazeg, which also means “to mix” or “to blend” between two things.
In the summer, the air conditioner blows cold air into the room to mix it with the hot air already there. This cools the room, lowers the temperature, and makes it more plesent for us.
שׁוֹרֶשׁ הַמִּילָּה 'מַזְגָן' הוּא מ.ז.ג.
שֵׁם הַפֺּעַל: לְמַזֵּג.
שֵׁם הַפֺּעַל לְמַזֵּג פֵּרוּשׁוֹ לְשַׁלֵּב בֵּין שְׁנֵי דְּבָרִים.

And in the winter, the air conditioner blows warm air into the room to mix with the cold air, warming the space, raising the temperature, and again making it pleasant for us.
וּבַחוֹרֶף הַמַּזְגָן דּוֹחֵף אֲוִיר חַם לְתוֹךְ הַחֶדֶר כְּדֵי לְמַזֵּג אוֹתוֹ עִם הָאֲוִיר הַקַּר שֶׁיֵּשׁ בַּחֶדֶר וְאָז הָאֲוִיר הַקַּר בַּחֶדֶר מִתְחַמֵּם, הַטֶּמְפְּטוּרָה עוֹלָה וְשׁוּב נָעִים לָנוּ.
There are small air conditioners designed to cool or heat a single room, and there are also mini central systems that can condition the air in the entire house at once.
יֵשׁ מַזְגָנִים קְטַנִּים שֶׁמַּתְאִימִים לְקֵירוּר אוֹ חִימּוּם שֶׁל חֶדֶר אֶחָד וְיֵשׁ מַזְגָן מִינִי מֶרְכָּזִי שֶׁהוּא מַעֲרֶכֶת שֶׁמְּמַזֶּגֶת אֶת כָּל חַדְרֵי הַבַּיִת בּוֹ זְמַנִּית.
I can tell you that in the Israeli summer—I can’t live without an air conditioner!

4. The recommended temperature for the air conditioner in summer is 25°C. That’s best for saving electricity, maintaining the air conditioner (every degree lower makes it work harder), and for comfort—both people and animals feel good at that temperature.
